Overview

At Codema, we specialise in the roll-out of large-scale energy projects that play a crucial role in advancing Dublin’s low-carbon, sustainable future. Through close collaboration with local authorities, public sector bodies and private stakeholders, we deliver impactful solutions in renewable energy, district heating, building energy efficiency and decarbonisation. These projects are essential in driving Dublin’s progress towards its climate targets, while also enhancing the quality of life for its residents. Every initiative we lead is designed to contribute to a cleaner, more resilient city.

District heating

District heating plays a central role in Codema’s strategy for reducing Dublin’s carbon footprint. As both project initiator and facilitator, Codema works closely with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders to drive the development of district heating networks. By harnessing locally available heat sources, such as waste heat from industries and data centres, district heating can provide clean, efficient heating to homes and businesses. These systems reduce the need for individual boilers and fossil fuels, making heating more sustainable, affordable, and efficient for entire communities.

Building energy efficiency and decarbonisation

Improving the energy performance of existing buildings in Dublin is essential for reducing energy consumption and cutting carbon emissions. Codema plays a key role as project facilitator, driving energy efficiency and decarbonisation through the use of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) and other innovative approaches.
