Our CEO Donna Gartland has been named the recipient of The Irish Times Positive Impacts Award for 2025.

We are delighted to announce that our CEO Donna Gartland has been named the recipient of The Irish Times Positive Impacts Award for 2025.
The award, presented by Kevin O’Sullivan of The Irish Times and Errol Close of EirGrid, recognises individuals whose work in environment and emissions reduction is producing measurable impact while demonstrating leadership, innovation and commitment.
Upon receiving the award, Donna said:
I am delighted to receive this award. Codema’s work is not just about reducing emissions but improving people’s lives and our environment. We strive to make a measurable impact, working with communities, businesses, local authorities and other public sector bodies to deliver tangible results.
The Irish Times Positive Impacts event is an initiative organised by The Irish Times that focuses on highlighting and celebrating positive contributions, achievements and initiatives within business in the arena of environment and emissions. It began in 2023 and is an event for business leaders seeking to guide their companies towards net-zero emissions. The event showcases stories of individuals, organisations and projects that are making a positive difference in various aspects of life including social, environmental, cultural and economic spheres.
This year’s event featured insightful discussions on Ireland’s climate targets and policies and progressing climate action at business level.
Donna’s leadership at Codema has been instrumental in driving innovative energy solutions in the capital. This award is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to improve the lives of people in Dublin by changing how we produce and use energy locally, for the better.
Congratulations, Donna! 🎉
