Codema to host peer to peer event on citizen engagement and finance
Codema will host a peer-to-peer knowledge exchange event on citizen engagement and citizen financing schemes in the energy transition on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th February 2025.
About the event
On Thursday 6th and Friday 7th February 2025, Codema will host a peer-to-peer knowledge exchange event on citizen engagement and citizen financing schemes in the energy transition. This event is co-organised with GNE Finance as part of the Scalable Cities initiative, funded by the European Commission.
This event invites representatives from European cities who have developed or are currently developing energy-related projects that seek to engage citizens in decision-making or provide opportunities for citizens to engage in financial models such as crowdfunding, equity financing and cooperatives in order to advance the energy transition.
This event will give attendees the opportunity to:
- Explore citizen engagement strategies for designing and implementing energy transition projects.
- Learn about financial models such as crowdfunding, equity financing, and cooperatives.
- Dive into community-based business models and participatory processes such as citizens’ assemblies.
- Gain insights from local experts, financial professionals, and investors.
This two-day event will take place in Dublin City, starting at 12pm on Thursday 6th February and ending at 2pm on Friday 7th February.
A budget of up to €900 is available for travel and accommodation expenses for registered cities.
